Hyun Lee
A media artist from Seoul who resides in New York. Based on various technologies such as computer vision, Unity, Arduino, and VR, she works on potential threats and paradoxes that can arise as media technology advances and is actively utilized. Facial recognition technology, used to prevent potential terrorism, can also rather threaten personal information and individual portrait rights and lead to unintended discrimination of individuals.
In addition, companies use AI to lock users in an endless stream of products and information similar to identified user predilections. She addresses these issues through play in her work, with a special focus on how media affects everyday life and exerts a role in the formation of daily life.

- Technology and ontology: It analyzes how technology affects the way humans exist and their perceptions. It explores how technology changes the way we understand and experience the world.
- Diverse Technological Traditions: Beyond Western-centric technological thinking, we want to compare and understand technological approaches from different cultures and traditions. This takes into account the universality and specificity of technology at the same time.
